Lodge Blacklock Skillet
-
Detail
A more user-friendly version of Lodge's iconic cast iron skillet that's 25% lighter and triple-seasoned.
---DETAILS---
The Lodge Blacklock skillet was designed to be 25% lighter and easier to manoeuvre than their traditional skillets, which are recognised all around the world for their versatility and durability. Cast iron is prized for its ability to get extremely hot and retain that heat, resulting in gorgeously browned foods, whether that's seared steak or reputation-saving Brussels sprouts. It can go on all hobs including induction, in ovens, and on the barbecue. Best of all, it lasts forever. The triple-seasoned surface on the Blacklock skillet speeds up the easy-release 'patina' that cast iron pans build after frequent use. The skillet is cast in a thin, lightweight design and features an extended raised handle, handy pouring spouts and an elevated helper handle. (Note: the smaller 18cm/7" size does not include the helper handle.) Like all cast iron cookware, it requires a bit of special attention to clean and maintain; read instructions on how to do that .
Note: Because Lodge pans are made using a traditional sand-moulding technique and undergo pre-seasoning before reaching you, there may be minor cosmetic imperfections such as pinholes or smudges on the surface. These are considered normal and do not affect the performance of the pans. The diameter refers to the rim of the pan.
---BENEFITS---
'It's a great introduction to cast iron cooking, as many first-time users may be put off by the weight and more unusual shape of traditional cast iron pans.'
