This Lodge skillet is nothing short of iconic. It is a go-to for searing meat and getting a nice, crisp edge on vegetables; baking pies and pizza; and so much more. With a heavy-duty body that only gets better with time and use, it is made to last a lifetime.

    ---DETAILS---

Lodge, America’s oldest cast iron manufacturer, is recognised around the world for its reliable, virtually indestructible cast iron skillets. Cast iron is prized for its ability to get extremely hot and retain that heat, resulting in gorgeously browned foods, whether that's seared steak or reputation-saving Brussels sprouts. It can go on all hobs including induction, in ovens, and on the barbecue. Over time, cast iron builds a top layer, or ‘patina’, that makes it stick-resistant; this requires a little extra care—read all about how to care for cast iron pans . This skillet is Lodge's original and most popular model. It has almost vertical sides, two spouts, and for sizes 26cm and above, a helper handle, because cast iron is heavy (another reason they’re indestructible). It arrives pre-seasoned with vegetable oil so you can start cooking right away.

Note: Because Lodge pans are made using a traditional sand-moulding technique and undergo pre-seasoning before reaching you, there may be minor cosmetic imperfections such as pinholes or smudges on the surface. These are considered normal and do not affect the performance of the pans. The diameter refers to the rim of the pan.

---BENEFITS--- 'The internet is full of articles that claim this skillet is the only pan you'll ever need, which is a fair point. Personally, I just love using it every time I want to cook something impressive—it never fails at that!'
