The handle's matte finish gives a modern look and a non-slip rubber base provides stability as you grate against the surface of a cutting board. A notch in the handle allows you to hang it on a rack. The long blade allows you to zest a portion of fruit in one long draw rather than going back and forth, which can cause the undesirable mincing of your zest and an accidental grating of the pith.
