Peugeot Bistro Pepper Mill / 10cm / Chocolate

Detail
A beech wood replica of the first Peugeot pepper mill created in 1874. ---DETAILS--- The French company Peugeot may be most commonly associated with cars, but they actually made spice mills first, far back in 1874. In the 146 years since, no other salt and pepper mills stay as sharp, resist corrosion as well, and last as long, which is why nobody in the culinary industry would hesitate to call them ‘iconic’. The grinding mechanism in this elegantly shaped Bistro Pepper Mill is made from hardened steel, so it can withstand the stress of grinding tougher peppercorns without shedding some of its own metal along with it. It is helix-shaped, so peppercorns wait their turn before being cracked in half and further ground to your preference. The knob on the top of the mill can be adjusted to obtain your ideal pepper grind: the tighter the knob, the finer the pepper. A matching is sold separately. ---BENEFITS--- ‘Any fine dining restaurant worth its salt (excuse the pun) has a Peugeot mill. Expertly crafted inside and out, these grinders seem to “wake up” pepper and salt just before it reaches your plate.’
