Detail
This Limoges porcelain bowl, made by hand in Italy, features a luminous, hand-painted interior that contrasts with a tactile, understated exterior.
---DETAILS---
Made entirely by hand in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, this serving bowl from Bertozzi is made of Limoges porcelain, considered the finest in the world. Its unique mix of kaolin, feldspar and quartz allows it to be fired at extremely high temperatures for durability and a luminous glaze associated with royal china. It is glazed using a century-old secret recipe from founder Luigi Bertozzi. The paint recipe mixes flour, vinegar, and rusted iron to create a distinguished palette that cannot be replicated. Their Pratoline pattern, which depicts wildflowers, has been block printed onto the porcelain before being fired, resulting in a deeply pigmented colour and unique design. As this piece is completely unique, slight variations in shape and colour are part of its charm. It is dishwasher-safe.
---BENEFITS---
'This piece reflects light beautifully, thanks to a mix of Bertozzi’s singular colours and the natural lustre of Limoges porcelain. The hand-painted interior is so delicate.'
