It features a generous 82mm opening and ingenious O-shaped 'flip gate' that allows you to feed in whole apples and bigger pieces of other fruit and veg, as well as an aperture in the top of the gate for whole carrots and leafy greens—eliminating the need to use a pusher. (Note that fibrous ingredients like celery and ginger should but cut into smaller pieces before adding.) The flip gate also doubles as a safety feature, as it helps prevent anyone from getting their hands in the feed tube. The four-point anchor system in the juicing drum, with a 4-point interlock, produces less pulp than competitors and makes for a rock-solid connection to the motor, which is robust enough to run continuously for up to 60 minutes and has a 10-year guarantee. They’ve made cleaning even easier with the open-top pulp outlet, which deposits all the pulp into a pitcher you can easily discard the contents of and a cleaning brush that's included with the purchase.
