Elegant natural wood salt mill with crank handle.
---DETAILS---
Peugeot were the first company to make spice mills, back in 1874—before they made cars. In the 146 years since, no other salt and pepper mills stay as sharp, resist corrosion as well, and last as long. Salt, unlike pepper, can corrode metal if it absorbs too much moisture. That’s why most salt mill blades are made from less durable ceramic. Not Peugeot’s, which are made from rust-resistant 18/10 stainless steel so it lasts for many more years. The six U'Select settings can can be found on the bottom of the mill with roman numerals—I is finest, and VI is most coarse. Just set your preference, crank the mill, and season your food to bring out its flavours. The body is made from European beechwood and stainless steel finish. A complementary in a contemporary matt black finish is sold separately.
Note: Salt mills are intended to grind large crystals of salt; small particles of salt or sea salt flakes, like Maldon or Cornish, will get stuck in the mechanism.
---BENEFITS---'This shape stores lots of salt, so you don't have to refill as often. Peugeot's U'Select grind settings are excellent, too—whether you choose fine or coarse, you can expect consistency.'
